After a fire or flood, we realize you are faced with a multitude of challenges and decisions. Spartan Recovery Services has experienced technicians to help you through this stressful time.
DO
Call Spartan Recovery Services to assist with board up & tarping of windows, roofs, & any other damaged areas.- Clean and protect chrome trim on faucets and other brightwork by washing with detergent and applying a coating of Vaseline or oil.
- Blow off or brush-vacuum loose smoke particles from upholstery, draperies, and carpeting.
- Open windows for ventilation if weather permits.
- When there are no power supply empty refrigerators and freezers and keep the doors open with a rolled towel or newspaper to allow air circulation.
- Call a plumber to drain and blow out all water lines if heat is off in winter.
- Readily remove the pets to a clean and safe environment if heavy fire residues are present.
- To observe the results, it is advised to send a sample group of garments for cleaning and deodorization.
DONT
Wipe or attempt to wash fire residues from walls, ceilings or other absorbent surfaces.- Avoid the carpeting or upholstered furniture impacted by heavy residues or debris.
- It not advisable to use food items or canned goods exposed to heat.
- It is better to not to turn on computers, TV’s, stereos or electrical appliances until they have been cleaned and checked.
- If you have a vehicle or motorcycle that has been burned, don’t start or try to move it.
- Do not enter your home until you have been given permission that it is safe by your local fire department.
- Never try to salvage belongings that can put your health at risk including medicines, cosmetics or charred clothing.
- Never attempt to move anything after the fire or flood that doesn’t seem supported or is loose with debris or furniture on top.

Disaster Response
Storm damage can be caused by a hurricane, windstorm, heavy downpour or tornado and can range from minor damage to a total loss. - Dial to Spartan Recovery Services immediately for your Board up & Tarp Needs.
- Call 911 to get police or fire rescue help if you feel trapped or in danger.

- Avoid entering any room/area that has any potential risk.
- Turn on A/C or heating; it might spread contamination.
- Use Generator inside the house or any enclosed area.
- Go on the roof or attempt to make any repairs.
